Graveside
services for Dan Gail Freisner, 74, of Blythe, CA, were held
Wednesday, May 8, 2002, at 2pm in the Summit Cemetery, Mount Vernon,
Missouri. Art Owens officiated, with services under the direction of
the Locust Grove Funeral Home.
Mr. Freisner was born April 29, 1928, in Mount Vernon, to Harold Webster and Bydia Evelyn (Webb) Freisner. He grew up and attended school in the Chesapeake, Missouri area. He served in the US Navy during World War II, being honorably discharged in 1947. He moved to Blythe in 1956 from Arizona. On September 17, 1971, he married Virginia Mendez in Blythe. He enjoyed driving a truck for many years until his retirement in 1991. He was a 32nd degree Mason, belonging to Masonic Lodge #473 and El Bekel Shrine Temple of Anaheim, CA, and Scottish Rite Valley of Long Beach, Orient of California. He was also a VFW member, and was of the Baptist Faith. He always loved driving his truck, and in later years continued to enjoy fishing, his horses and dogs, and his gun collection. He passed from this life on Sunday, May 5, 2002, in Locust Grove, at the age of 74 years and six days. He is survived by his wife Virginia Freisner of Blythe; son James and wife Alicia Hoskinson of Las Vegas, NV; five daughters, Judy and husband Bill Heflin of Silver City, NM, Patti and husband Jason Stone of Locust Grove, Gail and husband Dimitrio Guidino of Blythe, Janie and husband Raul Turrieta of Silver City, Terri and husband Michael George of Blythe; four sisters, Dorothy Gordon of Peoria, IL, Ruth Junkins of Seattle, WA, Faye Mauldin of Corona, CA, June and husband Ed Pierce of Blythe; 13 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by both parents. |
