Funeral services for David E.
"Duke" Sullateskee, 43, of Locust Grove, were held Saturday,
December 20, 2003, at 2:00pm in the Ballou Baptist Church, Locust Grove.
Pastor George Littledave officiated, with interment following in Ballou
Cemetery. Services were under the direction of the Locust Grove Funeral
Home.
Mr. Sullateskee was born August 20, 1960, in Claremore, to Mary (McClure) and Tony Sullateskee, Jr. He passed from this life on Tuesday, December 16, 2003, in Welch. He grew up in the Locust Grove area and graduated from Locust Grove High School in 1978. He entered the US Army on July 12, 1978, and was honorably discharged July 11, 1981. Mr. Sullateskee worked in drywall and construction. In his spare time he enjoyed playing his guitar, singing, writing songs, and being with his friends. He also loved camping, as well as hunting and fishing. He was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his mother Mary Turtle of Locust Grove; daughter Becky Setzer of Rogers, Arkansas; three sisters, Rhoda and husband Tom Standingwater, Rhonda and husband Floyd Kingfisher, Rose and husband Ernie Brundage, all of Salina; four nieces, three nephews, many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and a very special friend, Melanie Bynum Brenton of Welch. He was preceded in death by his biological father Tony Sullateskee, his dad Ned Ballou, and all of his grandparents. | |
