Graveside services for Fannie
Brown, 82, of Pryor, were held Monday, January 27, 2003, at 200pm in
the Hogan Cemetery, Locust Grove. Pastor Jimmy Stokes officiated, with
services under the direction of the Locust Grove Funeral Home.
Mrs. Brown was born May 18, 1920, in Kansas, Oklahoma, to Tom and Stella (Owens) Perkins. She lived in Mayes County most of her life, and went to school in a one-room school house near Saline Creek. On December 24, 1940, she was married to George Gleason in Salina. She was a homemaker, and in her leisure time she enjoyed fishing, cooking, and visiting with family. She always loved attending the weekly singings while she was a resident at the nursing home in Locust Grove. She passed from this life on Friday, January 24, 2003, in Tulsa. She is survived by a son, Chester Gleason of Fontana, California; daughters Georgia Morrison of Pryor and Irene Qualls of Locust Grove; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by both parents; her husband George Gleason; sisters Ada Pippin and Ruth Perkins; brothers Clyde Perkins and Jim Perkins; and grandson Daniel Qualls. |
