Liane Marie Robertson
July 1, 1959 - June 6, 2002
 

Memorial services for Liane M. Robertson, 42, of Salina, were held at 2:00pm Tuesday, June 11, 2002, in the Galilean Church in Kansas, Oklahoma.  Pastor Leighton Reed officiated.

Liane was born July 1, 1959, in Midland, Michigan, to William O. and Dolores H. (Reinke) Butcher.  She grew up mostly in Michigan, coming to Oklahoma her freshman year in high school.  She graduated from Liberty Mounds High School, and then earned her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah.  She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Bacone College in Muskogee.  She came to the Salina area in 1978, and worked as a Registered Nurse at Tulsa Regional Medical Center for 10 years.  She had also worked at Harvard SurgiCare of Tulsa.

Her favorite pastimes included flower and vegetable gardening, furniture refinishing, reading, and sewing.  She also loved relaxing at the creek with a good book, her Pringles and lawn chair.  She loved working as a nurse, and her daughters were her pride and joy.  She was of the Christian faith.  She passed from this life on Thursday, June 6, 2002, at her home in Salina, Oklahoma.

She is survived by her parents, William and Dolores Butcher of Salina; two daughters, Bonnie Robertson and Annali Robertson of Salina; sister Sharlyn and Bill Dalby of Salina; six brothers, Greg and Jan Butcher, Joshua and Sherry Butcher, Benjamin and Chanda Butcher, all of Salina, Michael and Connie Butcher, Matthew and Rochelle Butcher, all of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, Will and Holly Butcher of Navarre Beach, Florida; maternal grandmother Florence Butcher of Midland, Michigan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, William and Helen Reinke; and paternal grandfather, William Butcher.
