Mary A. Cook
April 11, 1943 - October 14, 2002
 
Services for Mary A. Cook, 59, of Locust Grove, were held Wednesday, October 16, 2002, at 2pm in the First Free Will Baptist Church of Locust Grove. Brother Bill Braden and Pastor Blake Cook officiated, with interment following in the Hulbert Cemetery. Services were under the direction of the Locust Grove Funeral Home.

Mrs. Cook was born April 11, 1943, in Yonkers, to Elmer A. and Mildred (Howard) Hutchinson. She moved to heaven on Monday, October 14, 2002, at the age of 59 years, 6 months, and 3 days.

She grew up in the Hulbert and Wagoner area, and later moved to Locust Grove where she graduated high school in 1959. She also completed several courses at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. On January 24, 1964, she married Clyde E. Cook in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Locust Grove Full Gospel Church. She dearly loved her children, and was actively involved in her church and her family. She enjoyed gardening and fishing with her daughter, and attending her kids’ sporting events, where she was always their number one fan. Above all else she loved God, and she always put Him first in her life.

She is survived by her mother, Mildred Hutchinson of Locust Grove; four sons, Shaun and Genna Cook, and Chad Cook, all of Locust Grove, Dane (Blue) and Darla Cook of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Blake and Jolene Cook of Kansas, Oklahoma; daughter Shannon Cook of Locust Grove; brother David and Sharon Hutchinson of Locust Grove; sister Elaine and Dale Clark of Pryor; uncle Wayne Hutchinson; aunts Velma Smith and Millie Wilson; mother-in-law Loye Cook; cousins Gene, Ray, and Joe Hutchinson; many other cousins and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Cook; father Elmer Hutchinson; nephews Kyle Woolard and Travis Hutchinson; daughter-in-law Angela Cook; and father-in-law Roy Samuel Cook.
