Margaret Kate McKee
December 28, 1938 - February 6, 2003
 
Services for Margaret "Kate" McKee, 64, of Broken Arrow, formerly of Locust Grove, were held Tuesday, February 11, 2003, at 2:00pm in the First Free Will Baptist Church, Locust Grove.  Pastors Jeff Blair and Randy Wilson officiated, with interment following in Hogan Cemetery.  Services were under the direction of the Locust Grove Funeral Home.

Mrs. McKee was born December 28, 1938 in Eufaula, Oklahoma, to Jack and Lorene (Cope) Spencer.  She grew up in Wheatland, California, and graduated from Wheatland High School in 1956.  She was married to Columbus "Rass" McKee on August 22, 1958, in Reno, Nevada.  The couple came to the Locust Grove area in 1972 from Tulsa.  Mr. McKee passed away in 1980, and Kate later moved to Broken Arrow in 1992.  She had been an employee of First Data Resources in Tulsa for the past 22 years.  Some of her favorite pastimes were reading and traveling.  She was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Locust Grove.  She passed from this life on Friday, February 7, 2003, in Tulsa.

She is survived by three sons, Don and wife Sue McKee of Locust Grove, David and wife Renee McKee of Grandview, Missouri, Roger and wife Becky McKee of Tulsa; 2 daughters, Danette Adams of Bentonville, Arkansas and Dana Terning of Broken Arrow; brother James Spencer of Lincoln, California; sister Etta Ramos of Rio Oso, California; five grandchildren; many cousins and friends.  She was preceded in death by both parents; her husband Columbus "Rass" McKee; and brother Harold Spencer.
