In Loving Memory...
Raymond "Paul" Jackson
May 23, 1959 - March 9, 2001

Memorial services for Raymond "Paul" Jackson, 41, of Locust Grove, were held Wednesday, March 14, 2001, at 2:00pm in the Jubilee Ministries church in Locust Grove. Pastors Leroy and Norma Blackwell officiated. Local arrangements were made through the Locust Grove Funeral Home.

Paul was born May 23, 1959, in Tulsa, to Raymond and JoAnn D. (Queen) Jackson. He grew up and attended school in the Locust Grove area, where he lived for most of his life. He earned his certification as an electrician, and had worked in the field since he was 15 years old, before a disability forced his early retirement in 1992.

He married Kathy Harp on March 9, 1999, at LaVerne's Wedding Chapel in Miami, Oklahoma. He attended the Jubilee Ministries church in Locust Grove with her. His friends and family knew him as a Harley Davidson man, and many of them called him A.J., for "Action Jackson." He loved fishing and going to Spring Creek, and he always enjoyed watching storms from his front porch. He also was a big fan of country music, after his "rock 'n' roll years". Most of all, he loved his wife Kathy.

He passed from this life on Friday, March 9, 2001, in Tulsa. He is survived by his wife Kathy of the home; brothers David Megginson of Mazie, William "Doug" Coon of Peggs, Billy Harp, Terry Harp, and Larry Harp, all of Locust Grove; sisters Vicki Carey of Tulsa, Theresa Glennon and Betty Anderson of Locust Grove; his wife's parents Wanda Hampton, Edgar and Eldona Harp, all of Locust Grove; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother.
