Mrs. Ross was born June 20, 1910, in Ashland, Wisconsin, to Phillip and Ida (Hoth) Hampel.  She grew up in Ashland and graduated from Ashland High School in 1929, and then trained to be a registered nurse.  She came to Wagoner, Oklahoma in 1953, where she and her husband Floyd Ross owned and operated Ross Nursing Home.  She came to the Peggs area in the 1960's.  She was of the Methodist faith.  She passed from this life on February 24, 2003, in Tahlequah.

She is survived by her sister Dolly Mrdjenovich of Ashland; niece Jackie Thompson of Eagle River, Wisconsin; nephew Kenneth Novatny of Phelps, Wisconsin; and special friends Phyllis and Leon Adams, Dale & Louise Barrington, all of Peggs.  She was preceded in death by both parents, one brother, and four sisters.
